🔰Among the causes of having worries disappear and sins forgiven is sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ, and the effect of sending ṣalāh upon him on Friday is greatest.

💠Ubayy ibn Kaʻb, may Allah be pleased with him, said,

🔰"O Messenger of Allah, I frequently invoke the blessings of Allah upon you. How much of my supplications should I devote to you?"

💢He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, "Whatever you wish." I said, "A quarter?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "One half?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Two thirds?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Shall I devote all my supplication to (invoking blessings upon) you?"

💥He said, "Then, you will be freed from your worry and your sin will be forgiven."

[At-Tirmithi: good-authentic; Al-Haakim in Al-Mustadrak]

💠Anas bin Maalik (radhi Allaahu anhu) said:  Verily the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

💥Whoever sends Salah upon me once Allah will send ten (blessings) upon him and remove ten of his sins and raise his rank by ten levels.

[Imam Ahmad in his Musnad, Imam Bukharee in Adabul Mufrad #642 and #643. Jami Sagheer #6359 authenticated by Al Abaanee]

💠“Truly Allah and His angels say Salah on the Prophet, O you believers, recite Salah on him and send Salam on him completely.” [Al-Ahzab | C.33: A.56]

🌙💠Prophet's (sallalahu 'alayhi wasallam) Sermon on the month of Ramadhan💠🌙

💠❐ Baihaqi reported on the authority of Salman Al-Farsi (Radhi Allah 'Anh) that Prophet ('Alaihi Salat was-Salam) delivered a sermon on the last day of the month of Sha'ban. In it he ('Alaihi Salat was-Salam) said:

💠🎙️ "O People! The month of Allah (Ramadan) has come with its mercies, blessings and forgivenesses. Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) has decreed this month the best of all months. The days of this month are the best among the days and the nights are the best among the nights and the hours during Ramadan are the best among the hours.

❐ This is a month in which you have been invited by Him (to fast and pray). Allah has honoured you in it. In every breath you take is a reward of Allah, your sleep is worship, your good deeds are accepted and your invocations are answered.

❐ Therefore, you must invoke your Lord in all earnestness with hearts free from sin and evil, and pray that Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) may help you to keep fast, and to recite the Noble Qur’an. Indeed!, miserable is the one who is deprived of Allah’s forgiveness in this great month. While fasting remember the hunger and thirst on the Day of Judgement.

❐ Give alms to the poor and needy. Pay respect to your elders, have sympathy for your youngsters and be kind towards your relatives and kinsmen. Guard your tongue against unworthy words, and your eyes from scenes that are not worth seeing (forbidden) and your ears from sounds that should not be heard.

❐ Be kind to orphans so that if your children may become orphans they will also be treated with kindness. Do repent to Allah for your sins and supplicate with raised hands at the times of prayer as these are the best times, during which Allah Almighty looks at His servants with mercy.

❐ Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) Answers if they supplicate, Responds if they call, Grants if He is asked, and Accepts if they entreat. O people! you have made your conscience the slave of your desires.

❐ Make it free by invoking Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) for forgiveness. Your back may break from the heavy load of your sins, so prostrate yourself before Allah for long intervals, and make this load lighter. Understand fully that Allah has promised in His Honour and Majesty that, people who perform salat and sajda (prostration) will be guarded from Hell-fire on the Day of Judgement.

💠🎙️ O people!, if anyone amongst you arranges for iftar (meal at sunset) for any believer, Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) will reward him as if he had freed a slave, and Allâh (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) will forgive him his sins.

❐ A companion asked: “but not all of us have the means to do so” The Prophet (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) replied: Keep yourself away from Hell-fire though it may consist of half a date or even some water if you have nothing else.

💠🎙️O people!, anyone who during this month cultivates good manners, will walk over the Sirat (bridge to Paradise) on the day when feet will tend to slip. For anyone who during this month eases the workload of his servants, Allah will make easy his accounting, and for anyone who doesn’t hurt others during this month, Allah will safeguard him from His Wrath on the Day of Judgement.

❐ Anyone who respects and treats an orphan with kindness during this month, Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) shall look at him with kindness on that Day. Anyone who treats his kinsmen well during this month, Allah will bestow His Mercy on him on that Day, while anyone who mistreats his kinsmen during this month, Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) will keep away from His Mercy.

❐ Whomever offers the recommended prayers during this month, Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) will save him from Hell, and whomever observes his obligations during this month, his reward will be seventy times the reward during other months.

❐ Whomever repeatedly invokes Allah’s blessings on me, Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) will keep his scale of good deeds heavy, while the scales of others will be tending to lightness.
1
Whomever recites during this month an ayat (verse) of the Holy Qur’an, will get the reward of reciting the whole Qur’an in other months.

💠🎙️O people!, the gates of Paradise remain open during this month. Pray to your Lord that they may not be closed for you. While the gates of Hell are closed, pray to your Lord that they never open for you. Satan has been chained, invoke your Lord not to let him dominate you."

❐ Ali ibn Talib (Rady'Allahu Anhu) said: “I asked, ‘O messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam), what are the best deeds during this month’?” ‘He replied:

🚨‘O Abu-Hassan, the best of deeds during this month is to be far from what Allah has forbidden'." [Baihaqi] ❐

💠 The Wisdom and Benefits behind Fasting

💠 Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah
💠 Zaad al-Ma'aad

❖❐ The objective behind fasting is to restrain the soul from (its) desires and to prevent it from those things, which are beloved to it. And its purpose is to control the soul's strength, so that it can be prepared to attain what is found in it (the fast) from success and joy for the soul. Through the fast, one curbs his hunger and thirst and is reminded of the condition of the hungry stomachs of needy people.

❐ Through fasting, one narrows the passages the Devil has inside the servant (of Allah) by narrowing the passages of food and drink. Also, it prevents the forces of the limbs from getting too accustomed to things that are harmful to it in this world and the hereafter. And each of the soul's body limbs and energies can cease their rebelliousness (to Allah) and be harnessed by its bridle.

❐ So therefore, the fast is the bridle of those who fear and obey Allah and the shield of those wage war (against desires). And it is a garden for the righteous and devoted servants of Allah. And it is for the Lord of the worlds, over all other actions (done to please Allah). This is since the person who fasts, in fact does nothing. He only abandons his desire and his food for the sake of the One whom he worships.

❐ So fasting is an abandonment of those things that the soul loves and desires, preferring instead Allah's love and contentment. And it is a secret kept between the servant and his Lord – no one else is aware of it.

❐ Fasting has an amazing effect in preserving one's outer limbs and inner capacities as well as protecting the soul from being overtaken by destructive components, which can ruin and destroy it.

❐ And it has a remarkable effect in causing all the harmful things that prevent the soul from being healthy to be emptied out. So fasting guards and protects the health of the person's heart and body limbs. And it returns the soul all that the hands of the desires has taken from it. So it is from the greatest ways of improving one's Taqwaa, as Allah says:

💠 "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you in order that you attain Taqwaa." [Surah Al-Baqarah: 185]

❐ The Prophet (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: "Fasting is a shield." And he commanded those who had intense desires for marriage but were not able to marry, to observe fasting, making it a shield against those desires (of marriage).

❐ When the benefits of fasting are born witness to by sensible minds and upright intuitions, one will come to realize that Allah prescribed it as a mercy for mankind, goodness to them and a protection and shield for them.

❐ The Prophet's (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) guidance concerning it was the most perfect of guidance, and the best for reaching the desired objective and the easiest on the soul.

❐ Since restraining the soul from what it loves and desires is from the most difficult and hardest of things, its obligation was delayed until the middle of Islam, after the Hijrah.

❐ This was at the point when the tawhid and the Prayer had become firmly established in the souls of the Muslims and when they loved the commands of Allah. So their souls were lead to its obligation in gradual steps. It became obligatory in the second year of Hijrah.

❐ When the Messenger of Allah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) died, he had fasted nine Ramadaans in total. Originally, it was obligated as an option left to the people to choose whether they wanted to fast or to feed needy people for every day.

❐ Then that option was transferred into the final obligatory fasting. And the matter of feeding people was left only for the old men and women who did not have the ability to fast.

❐ Fasting had three stages.

1️⃣ The first stage was its being obligated with the option of fasting or feeding a needy person.
👍1
2️⃣ In the second stage, only the fasting was allowed, but if the person fasting slept before breaking his fast, he was forbidden from eating and drinking until the following night.

3️⃣ This was abrogated in the third stage. And this is the stage at which the Religion has settled with until the Day of Judgement.
🌙The word Ramadan (رمضان) comes from the word Ramad (رمض) which literally means
🔥"burning."

💠Imam Qurtubi: “It was named Ramadan because it burns the sins of people with good deeds.”

[Tafsir al-Qurtubi | v. 2, p. 271]
🎲💞Generosity in Ramadan💞🎲

🔰Imam Bukhaari and Muslim reported that Ibn ‘Abbaas (Rady'Allahu Anhu) said:

💠“The Messenger of Allaah Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) was the most generous of people [in doing good], and he was most generous of all in Ramadaan when Jibreel (Alaihe wa sallam) met with him, and he used to meet him every night in Ramadaan and teach him the Qur’aan.

💥The Messenger of Allaah Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) was more generous in doing good than a blowing wind.”

[Reported by al-Bukhaari, al-Fath, no. 6]

💢Then How can people exchange generosity for stinginess and action for laziness, to the extent that they do not do their work properly and do not treat one another properly, and they use fasting as an excuse for all this.❐
💠 Rajab al-Hanbali رحمه الله said:

🌙“Most people’s fasting are full of shortcomings, charity helps to patch these up.”🔰

📚📑Notes from 'Kitab as-Sawm' in 'Fath al-Bari'📑📚

❖❐ The Time Between Suhur and Fajr

❐ Anas (Rady'Allahu Anhu) reported that Zayd bin Thabit said: "We had suhur with the Prophet(Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam), and he then got up to pray." Anas then asked: "How much time was there between the adhan and the suhur?" He answered: "Fifty verses."

❐ In 'Fath al-Bari' (4/164), Ibn Hajar made the following points on this hadith:

❐ al-Muhallab and others said: "Shown in this narration is the fact that they would measure time with physical actions, and the Arabs would measure time with actions, such as their saying that such-and-such took the same amount of time that it would take to milk a sheep, or the amount of time it would take to slaughter a camel.

❐ So, Zayd bin Thabit similarly estimated the time using the recitation of the Qur'an, indicating that this time was used for the worship of reciting the Qur'an."

❐ Ibn Abi Jamrah said: "This is in indication that they would spend their time engrossed in worship."

❐ In it is also an indication that the suhur is to be delayed, as this serves the purpose of the suhur.

❐ Ibn Abi Jamrah said: "The Prophet (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) would look to that which was easiest for his people, and would do that. This is because if he did not have suhur, they would have imitated him in this, and that would be too hard upon them.

❐ And if he were to have taken suhur in the middle of the night, this would also have been hard upon those who are heavy sleepers..."

❐ He also said: "And in it is the virtuous one honoring others by having them eat with him, as well as the permissibility of walking at night if there is a need to do so, as Zayd bin Thabit did not live with the Prophet.

❐ In it is they would gather to eat suhur together. In it is the best manner of addressing another when making a point, due to Zayd's saying:

❐ "We had suhur with the Prophet...," and he did not say: "We and the Prophet had suhur...," and this is due to his realization that his use of the word 'with' would show that they were his followers."

❐ al-Qurtubi said: "In it is a proof that they would finish up their suhur before the time of Fajr."
💠Abdullaah ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله عنهما) said:

🕋⛓️ “The fortitude of the religion and what it is built upon is the Salaat and Zakaat, one should not differentiate between the two of them, also the pilgrimage to Al Bayt Al Haraam and fasting Ramadaan.

💥🏅 Indeed the most righteous of actions is giving charity and fasting.”
